Growing Together – Stewardship Message on 8th May 2025:
A big thank you to all of you who contributed to the church in many ways in April.
We had a significant deficit at the beginning of the month that was cut in half, thanks to you.
With your regular givings plus your participation in the church Talent Auction we are heading in the right financial direction.
We even added a new PAR contributor, which is an easy, consistent way for people to give to the church.
If you wish to make a donation weekly, monthly or yearly we do accept cheques made out to St. Paul’s United Church, (with a note on the cheque where you wish the funds to be directed). The choice is yours but you must indicate your preference, some ideas are General Funds, Mission and Service, Memorial Donation, a special payment for a dinner, auction item, to the Choir etc. You can bring the cheque to Sunday Service OR through the week drop it into the mail slot at the Atrium entrance OR in the office mail slot during regular hours OR mail it to the address in the contact us at the bottom of the page.
A way to demonstrate your love and appreciation for the life of a family member or friend. The donation can be made with a cheque, by an e-tranfer and Canada Helps also has a selection for a Memorial Donation.

What is PAR?
PAR ~ (Pre-Authorized Remittance), is a “direct debit” program administered by the United Church to enable people to support their church through automatic monthly withdrawal from their bank accounts. The donor designates the amount for local, M&S Fund or other funds such as capital projects. Once a month all PAR givings are debited from the donor’s accounts and then transferred to the local church accounts.
Introduced in 1976, PAR is a convenient way for members and adherents to provide consistent, year-round financial support for their local church. It is now growing at 15% per year enabling people to more intentionally plan and honor their financial commitments to their church. At St Paul’s over 120 people now use PAR for their church givings and the collection plates on Sundays seem a little empty. It’s not difficult and never too late to enroll in the PAR system, even if you have received envelopes for your donations. You have only to contact the church office at 705-526-6077 OR use the link below for the enrollment form. Your ongoing support of the work of St Paul’s is appreciated. Thank You
