Inaugural Organ Concert - HI Everyone: This Saturday promises to be an absolutely memorable day in the life of St. Paul's United Church. Our new pipe organ is rapidly getting the reputation for being the finest and most versatile musical instrument in Simcoe County and beyond. On Saturday, the Inaugural Organ Concert will celelbrate the new organ and chancel renovations, and also showcase the organ's amazing musical capabilities.
THe program is varie and designed to appeal to a wide range of musical tastes. Featured guest artist, Christopher Dawes, is a distinguished and versatile musician who has a remarkable connection to this particular organ. Don Anderson of Phoenix Organs (builders of the beautiful new console and much more) will give a brief explanation of some of the less obvious features of the organ and will illustrate with some wonderful musical examples. Local artists include our own Paul Sloan, St. Paul's choir, Phyllis McCullough, Aaron Bell, Amanada Forsyth and Sadie Bridgeman.
Remember, this is a celebration not only for St. Paul's but also for the community that uses the church facilities for concerts. So, invite your neighbours, friends, and family to join us for this momentous occasion.
